2020年P奖获得者.E. MacAllister Distinguished Alumnus Award for Service to Carroll

Jack Loppnow ꞌ62 has quietly 和 consistently served to make Carroll a better place, 和 always with a big smile. He regularly illustrates a commitment 和 passion for his alma mater, whether that means overseeing the 校友理事会 as chair, serving on university committees, volunteering for Carroll’s Pioneers Serve, or hauling boxes as he greets new students during Move-In Day.

Loppnow graduated from Carroll in 1962, but not without first taking on the nickname “Smiley” for his welcoming smile 和 ability to share 和 spread joy. Those qualities have helped define his consistent 和 energetic engagement with his alma mater, where he has shown a sincere 和 deep love to support Carroll through multiple avenues.

He began his insurance career following his graduation from Carroll. With a bachelor’s degree in business administration supporting his skills, he moved on to work with a national stock insurance company, responsible for new agency appointments 和 generating new business for the company. Loppnow has built a nearly 60-year career in the insurance industry 和 currently serves as vice president of Robertson Ryan & Associates, where his focus is on commercial, institutional 和 construction businesses.

His support for Carroll began when he served as a class agent helping with fundraising 和 alumni outreach. He continued his service from 2005-2014 on the 校友理事会, serving as chair for three years at the end of his tenure 和 representative to the Board of Trustees. He was enthusiastically involved in his role as chair, volunteering 和 appearing at many alumni 和 campus events, including overseeing the presentation of alumni awards at the annual Celebrate Success event, as well as providing the Champagne Toast to graduating seniors.

Loppnow annually gives back his time for the Carroll’s National Service Project helping to organize 和 pack food at the Milwaukee branch of Feeding America. He also annually participates in the annual CU Volunteer Day, giving his time alongside his Carroll peers at organizations like the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, 联合社区中心, 和圣. Ann’s Center, among others. He has also been an event champion for alumni regional events, served his class of 1962 reunion committees, helped in the 招聘 of peers to join the Old Main Society membership 和 continues to serve on the President’s Advisory Council.

Loppnow’s love for Carroll has no limits. As a former athlete, Loppnow has remained a devoted supporter of 先锋体育. Always engaged 和 wanting the brightest future for Carroll, he has also served as an alumni liaison on the Diversity Committee, taking part in the conversations on increasing diversity of today’s student body. He also volunteers his time on Move-In Day to welcome 和 assist the new generations of Carroll Pioneers.

Loppnow’s student experience 和 continued relationship with Carroll has kept him connected 和 centered. Carroll not only remains important because of the enduring friendships made, 但最重要的是, he also met the love of his life, 黛安·洛普诺, who graduated from Carroll in 1964. 在一起, they continually 和 generously go above 和 beyond to engage alumni 和 friends to be involved as well as to support Carroll. They are members of the Old Main Society 和 John Adams Savage Society. They have two sons, Matthew 和 Nathan.
